Zenith to remove EV hurdles for fleet drivers in new E-Motion package
Under the strategy, which follows a 12-month comprehensive evaluation of all available EVs, Zenith will offer vehicles including full electric, plug-in hybrids and range extenders to its customers, adding that drivers will be protected from depreciation risks.
To open up the scheme further, Zenith’s salary sacrifice offering includes seven days of daily rental of a fossil-fuelled vehicle, for journeys outside of the electric vehicle’s range.
Zenith will also provide an advice service on whether or not an electric, plug in hybrid or range extender electric vehicle would be suitable for the needs of a driver based on their specific profile.
In addition, special offers for electric vehicles are also being communicated to salary sacrifice eligible employees to support the uptake, where they are appropriate, while an E-Selector tool will help drivers decide whether or not an electric, plug in hybrid or range extender electric vehicle would be suitable form based on their specific profile. Solutions for charging stations will also be offered to the driver at their homes and customer options for on-site stations at work premises.
A whole-life cost calculator has also been developed to aid customers in their decisions to add electric vehicles to their choice lists for particular driver populations. This indicates potential savings to companies and their employees.
Ian Hughes, Zenith’s commercial director, commented: ‘These savings can more than offset any increases in rentals leading to lower cost motoring for some users and drivers are fully protected from any depreciation risks. We want to help our drivers to understand the different technologies now available.
‘We are extremely excited to lead the EV revolution and hope that others will follow as it can only enhance the acceptance of this great leap in vehicle technology.’
