A collaborative project between Air Liquide, which will produce and supply the hydrogen, and Toyota Motor Sales USA, the first four locations will go live in early 2017 ahead of the regional launch of the Mirai fuel cell vehicle.

The network will open with locations in the Bronx in New York, Braintree and Mansfield in Massachusetts and Hartford in Connecticut, and will be compatible with fuel cell vehicles other than the Mirai.

Ole Hoefelmann, CEO of Air Liquide Advanced Technologies U.S. LLC and vice president of Air Liquide advanced Business & Technologies Americas, said: “Air Liquide firmly believes in the potential of hydrogen as a clean and reliable source of energy for the transportation sector, both in the United States and worldwide. We are deeply committed to enabling the widespread deployment of hydrogen fuel cell technology and the required infrastructure.”
