November U.S. sales totalled 2,003 units, or 2.1% of the 93,376 Nissan units sold that month. The carmaker has sold 20,081 LEAFs in the United States so far this year, a 141.1% increase on the 8,330 sold during the first 11 months of 2012.

As part of the model’s mid-life refresh, Nissan broadened production from a single plant in Oppama, Japan to include Sunderland in the UK, where European-market models are built, and Smyrna, Tennessee which builds cars for the North American market.

Nissan also broadened the model range to include three versions, including an entry-level S grade priced at $28,800 – a reduction of over $6,000.
