Technology Strategy Board chairman to open Cenex Low Carbon Vehicle Event

The event, which takes place on 4-5 September at the Millbrook Proving Ground, will also see the Technology Strategy Board, the UK’s innovation agency, participate in the exhibition and host seminar workshops over the two days of the event.

Phil Smith has a 30-year track record within the ICT industry, advising organisations in the private and public sector on how to drive transformation, productivity and sustainable growth. He is a passionate advocate of technology and innovation to the region’s business and political leaders.

Cenex CEO Robert Evans commented: ‘LCV has established its position as the key industry event in the low carbon vehicle sector, and we are pleased to once again have the Technology Strategy Board as a supporting partner for LCV2013. Phil is an accomplished speaker on innovation, sustainability, inclusion & diversity and business transformation and we are pleased to have him as our keynote speaker.’

Phil Smith added: ‘Sustainable transport systems are a vital element of our future economy. Naturally, being the UK’s innovation agency, the Technology Strategy Board has been driving the development of these systems for a number of years. That’s why we are thrilled to be at the heart of LCV2013, which showcases the fast lane of the low carbon vehicle sector.’
