2012 Lexus GS Ups Efficiency

By / 13 years ago / International News / No Comments

Though almost the same size as the outgoing model, it features a wider track for improved stability and Lexus claims to have increased interior and boot space. The shell is more aerodynamic than its predecessor, with an increase in rigidity due to the wider use of spot and laser welds through its structure.

Styling reflects the new Lexus design language, as shown on the CT and IS models, and the paint is specially formulated to include glass flakes, highlighting the car’s body lines. Inside, the new GS features an intelligent climate control system that adjusts itself based on the number of occupants, helping to improve efficiency.

In the UK, the GS will be offered with two powertrains at launch – a GS250 petrol and GS450h full hybrid. Economy and performance figures have not been released yet, and pricing will be announced closer to the launch.
