Fleets can now benefit from a complete EV energy and fleet management system, without the need to replace any existing infrastructure, thanks to a new collaboration between Webfleet, Bia Power and ChargeBroker.
Fleets get a complete EV energy and fleet management system without the need to replace existing infrastructure
The partnership streamlines the integration of EV fleet operations and depot charging management while also cutting costs, tackling the challenges that come with managing large EV fleets across systems from multiple vendors.
Webfleet delivers actionable data, such as vehicle status, battery levels and usage patterns, on its interface and Bia Power uses this data to optimise charging schedules for lower costs and maximum uptime. ChargeBroker provides a connection layer that unifies charging systems from different suppliers in one network.
Although similar systems out in the market require businesses to replace their existing charge point management systems (CPMS), the new venture ensures that businesses can stay connected to their existing CPMS provider with no disruption and better results.
Jan-Maarten de Vries, president fleet management solutions at Webfleet parent firm Bridgestone, said one of the biggest challenges of electrification for commercial fleets lies in managing the charging infrastructure that keeps vehicles on the road.
“With this partnership, anybody running a large EV fleet can stay confident vehicles are always ready for duty when they need them, at the lowest possible cost and within grid capacity.”
The integrated solution provides automated alerts, so fleet managers can quickly address charging faults without switching platforms. Meanwhile, combined charger and vehicle data support electrification planning and long-term energy optimisation.
Bia Power said it’s already proven that it can deliver truly optimised charging, with up to 80% peak load reduction, up to 50% charging costs savings and 100% fleet readiness.
Candace Saffery Neufeld, CEO and founder at Bia Power, went on: “Bia provides real-time operational tools and long-term economic sustainability that enables fleet electrification to be scalable and practical. By combining Bia’s optimisation with the precise and actionable insights of the Webfleet platform and leveraging ChargeBroker’s powerful gateway, we’ve built one of the most complete packages possible for any business electrifying its fleet.”
The services are available globally for Webfleet users and offered as bookable features per charging socket for both AC (slow) and DC (fast) systems, starting with EV Charger Monitoring and extending to the combined Monitoring and Optimisation package.
