The roll-out will begin with rental outlets in Germany this November, followed by Belgium and the Netherlands. Customers in France, Italy, Portugal, Spain and the UK will be able to rent the Ampera from the beginning of 2012. Customers will be able to feed their experiences back to the company via a series of questionnaires and online chat sessions.

It forms part of Europcar’s Environmental Charter, a pledge to provide customers with fuel efficient, electric and hybrid vehicles that helped the company win the title of World’s Leading Green Transport Solution Company in 2010, awarded at the World Travel Awards.
