Benefits of salary sacrifice explored in new BVRLA podcast
A new podcast by the BVRLA shines a light on the merits of salary sacrifice schemes and the need for continued low Benefit-in-Kind rates to underpin them.
The latest episode of the association’s ‘The Inside Track’ podcast sees head of policy and public affairs Thomas McLennan spotlight how salary sacrifice schemes have helped drive EV uptake, enabling drivers to get into electric cars tax efficiently,
But in the podcast, McLennan also stresses the urgent need to ensure future clarity of BiK rates and to keep these taxes low for EVs.
He’s joined by senior representatives from some of the UK’s leading salary sacrifice providers; Ian Hughes, CEO, Car and Van Division at Zenith Vehicles, Paul Gilshan, CEO at Tusker and Fiona Howarth, CEO at Octopus Electric Vehicles.
The BVRLA continues to encourage members to support the ongoing #SeeTheBenefit campaign, which is seeking to secure greater clarity on EV company car tax rates and see the rates kept low for longer. Information on the association’s Company Car campaign page includes details of how members can write to their local MP.
‘The Inside Track’ podcast is available on all major platforms.
