Polestar is now offering battery state-of-health certificates for its pre-owned Polestar 2 models certifying the useable battery as a percentage.

The certificates help give customers peace of mind that their battery is in peak health and launch as part of a 112-point check for used Polestar 2 models.
The carmaker also reassured buyers that pre-owned Polestar 2, Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 remain up-to-date for potential customers through over-the-air (OTA) updates, allowing the models to keep improving over time.
Yet, latest information has revealed that EV battery health remains high even after vehicles have racked up 100,000-plus miles on the road. Carried out by Arval – which says it’s become the first leasing company to offer a battery health certificate for its used EVs – the study revealed battery longevity lasts well beyond manufacturer warranties.
Next month will see Polestar open its first pre-owned ‘Space’ in Birmingham, focusing purely on fully checked and prepped pre-owned Polestars. The Polestar team will deliver the same experience as new car customers, allowing a lower cost of entry to premium EV ownership.
