BP has launched a new e-mobility solution to help small business fleets go electric.

BP’s bespoke new package has been developed specifically for businesses with one to 10 vehicles and provides a cost-effective all-in-one solution for both fuelling and charging

The bespoke package has been developed specifically for businesses with one to 10 vehicles and provides a cost-effective all-in-one solution for both fuelling and charging.

It’s delivered through the SME Fuel and Charge card, and brings key benefits including access to one of the UK’s largest networks of more than 8,500 BP Pulse public charging points and more than 3,400 fuel stations. Included within this are 1,200 branded BP sites and card acceptance partner sites via Esso, Gulf and Texaco.

Users can also access BP’s 24/7 online portal, which helps effectively control fuel card use with downloadable user invoices.

Fleets are also provided with simple carbon offsetting solutions through BP Target Neutral, which purchases and retires carbon credits from a portfolio of projects around the world.

The BPme digital app enables cashless payments for drivers and tracks virtual transactions, which includes a loyalty programme, BPme Rewards, to redeem points earn through fuel and shop purchases.

The new service will help SMEs manage small fleets with ease and efficiency and support them with the shift to a more sustainable future.

It also supports BP’s overall ambition to become a net zero company by 2050 or sooner.

Adrian Brabazon, UK fleet sales manager, said: “It’s been tough for many small businesses over the past two years, with the effects of the pandemic and an increased pressure to meet sustainable targets. We hope that our new service can help make the journey towards sustainability and net zero a little more straightforward for small businesses and give them the confidence they need to embrace the change.”

  • BP Pulse will also be appearing at this month’s Great British Fleet Event on 29 March in London, where head of sales Alex Potts will shed light on how fleets should best transition to electric vehicles and the various considerations for an EV strategy; from charge point functionality to future plans of action.
