The electric MPV hit UK dealers late 2021, bringing up to seven seats and a range of 174 miles. While the range-topping Flair XTR trim was previously only available as a more compact M version with five seats, it’s now also offered on the seven-seater XL. This provides an extra 35cm of body length, catering for customers seeking additional seating capacity, as well as increased practicality and versatility.

Priced at £32,995, the new Flair XTR XL version features standard specification, including 8-inch touchscreen, Citroën Connect Nav, reversing camera, Active Safety Brake, Intelligent Beam Headlights, opening tailgate window and dual-zone climate control. Stand-out style features bring 17-inch alloy wheels, gloss black roof bars, as well as front and rear scuff-plates. It’s also set apart from entry-level Feel models with orange fog light surrounds, XTR badging and a ‘Resada Green’ interior ambience.

The electric model is now the only version of the ë-Berlingo MPV on sale; earlier this month, Citroën and its Stellantis siblings announced they were closing order books for the petrol and diesel versions of their MPVs and making them exclusively available with all-electric power.

At the same time, Citroën reduced prices on the ë-Berlingo range, which now starts from £29,495 including the Plug-in Car Grant.

All versions of the ë-Berlingo Electric come with a 136hp electric motor and 50kWh lithium-ion battery pack, offering a WLTP range of up to 174 miles. A 7.4kW onboard charger is also standard, with a full recharge taking 7.5 hours. An optional 11kW onboard charger is also available, reducing the charging time to 4 hours 45 minutes with a compatible wallbox. The ë-Berlingo is also capable of 100kW rapid charging, with an 80% recharge taking 30 minutes.
