Citroën has expanded the line-up for its C4, ë-C4, C4 X and ë-C4 X models.

The new powertrains open up driver choices further

The C4 hatch and the C4 X fastback now get a new 48V hybrid powertrain, delivering greater fuel efficiency and lower emissions than the standard petrol model.

At the same time, the fully electric ë-C4 and ë-C4 X gain a new 156hp (115kW) electric motor and larger 54kWh battery, providing drivers with a range of up to 260 miles (WLTP).

Already seen among various other Stellantis group models, the Hybrid 136 mild hybrid powertrain for the C4 and C4 X offers up to 1km of electric-only range for low-speed urban cruising, improved fuel economy, and a 20% reduction in CO2 of up to 26g/km compared to the existing PureTech 130 EAT8 engine. It’s available on both Plus and Max trim levels and offered alongside the existing PureTech powertrains. Prices start from £26,350.

The arrival of a new powertrain for the ë-C4 and ë-C4 X electric variants opens up driver choices further. It’s available on both Max and ë-Series trim variants alongside the existing powertrain, which features a 50kWh battery and 136hp electric motor combination. Both the 50kWh and 54kWh batteries support up to 100kW DC rapid charging, providing a 20% to 80% charge in as little as 30 minutes. Prices for the new powertrain start at £36,105, compared to £35,205 for the smaller battery and motor.

In addition to the powertrain updates, the C4, ë-C4, C4 X and ë-C4 X now gain two new metallic paint colours. Okenite White is the new standard body colour across You!, Plus and Max trim levels while Eclipse Blue, which first debuted on C5 Aircross, is now available across C4, ë-C4, C4 X and ë-C4 X.
