Ecotricity has ordered a batch of electric vehicles from Peugeot as part of a continued upgrade of its fleet.

The Peugeot EVs were chosen by Ecotricity for their range and rapid charging options

The order covers three e-208s and one e-2008, supplied by Olympic Cars Peugeot in Stroud and financed through Free2Move on three-year, full-maintenance contract hire agreements.

Both models are fitted with a 136hp electric motor and 50kWh battery, giving a range of 206 miles for the e-2008 and 217 for the e-208. They’re capable of up to 100kW rapid charging, with an 80% charge taking as little as 30 minutes; a key factor in their choice. They’ll also help Ecotricity showcase its commitment to green energy and mobility and save money on fleet costs.

Dale Vince, founder, Ecotricity, said: “The EV market is developing so quickly, and Peugeot’s all-new e-208 and e-2008 are fantastic vehicles, ideal for our fleet thanks to considerable range and rapid charging options.”
