Enterprise Car Club brings electric and hybrid cars to Stirling
Fleets and private drivers in Stirling can now hire vehicles including electric and hybrid cars under a new scheme to promote low-emission shared mobility and sustainable travel in the area.
The scheme is being run by Enterprise Car Club under a new deal with the local council and provides eight vehicles, including an electric Nissan Leaf and five hybrids as well as a van, situated at convenient locations throughout the city.
All the vehicles are available for residents and visitors to rent by the hour or for longer, from £4.50 per hour and £25.00 per day, and can be booked 24/7, 365 days of the year using a mobile app.
New members are currently able to sign up to Enterprise Car Club for free and they will also receive £20 free driving credit when they top up with £20.
Members can also drive any of the 1,400 Enterprise Car Club vehicles located at almost 180 other locations across the UK.
Councillor Jim Thomson, Environment Convener at Stirling Council, said: “We are delighted to see Enterprise already bringing electric and hybrid vehicles to the city as we see this as a major step to helping to reduce emissions in Stirling.”
He added: “Partnering with Enterprise Car Club is a positive step towards encouraging and enabling our residents to be more sustainable and to help make Stirling a better place to live. It is one of a number of important initiatives that we have introduced to help us achieve our sustainability goals in the city.”
