Europcar is deploying the Tesla Model 3 on its fleet to help businesses go electric without the need for a long-term commitment.

The Tesla Model 3 will join the Flex long-term vehicle subscription service over the coming months, providing contracts from three months upwards

The fully electric four-door saloon will join the Flex long-term vehicle subscription service over the coming months, providing contracts from three months upwards to help give corporate users ‘real-world’ experience of zero-emission motoring.

Europcar is also updating its Flex service to support the move; new additions include comprehensive vehicle handover and charging instructions support, along with charging cables. Drivers will also get access to both Tesla Superchargers and the Shell Recharge card and app – providing access to over 10,000 charge points across the UK.

Fleets will also benefit from the option for CO2 reporting for valuable insight into emissions reduction.

Ron Santiago, managing director, Europcar Mobility Group UK, said: “Before making fleet decisions that will have big financial implications it makes sense to ‘test’ every aspect of zero-emissions motoring.

“Our long-term rental solutions tackle this challenge and the addition of the Tesla Model 3 to our fleet will give businesses more choice.”

He continued: “This is also another important step in our ‘One Sustainable Fleet’ programme which aims to have 20% of our fleet low- or zero-emission by the end of 2024.”
