EV Fleet World reveals the FuelProof EV

With range anxiety still proving a major barrier to electric vehicle adoption, EV Fleet World has revealed a new solution – the FuelProof EV.

The new FuelProof EV solution enables drivers to bolt on a diesel engine to an existing electric vehicle

Aimed at drivers struggling to make the switch to EVs, the new FuelProof EV solution enables them to bolt on a diesel engine to an existing electric vehicle. This then eliminates any concerns over range for longer journeys, such as for the family holiday.

The direct-drive 104hp diesel engine fits into the boot and clamps directly to the rear drive shaft, bypassing the electric powertrain. It uses a total of eight M12 bolts fixed on with wing nuts and the switchover will take any driver just 15 minutes to accomplish. Whilst powering the vehicle, the engine simultaneously charges the battery back to full, providing another 150 miles worth of free power.

Dr Kray Zy Eyedea, EV Fleet World’s newly appointed EV innovations chief, said: “This is such an elegant solution to a problem that’s been confounding the EV industry for years. We are happy to be playing our role in the EV revolution.”

A further innovation that Dr Eyedea is considering for future variants is to add a catalytic converter to the diesel exhaust to convert all pollutants into chocolate – perfect for Easter.
