EVs and future fuels under focus in AA Business Services webinar

The AA’s Business Services division is hosting a webinar this month to look at how the switch to EVs will affect fleets and the outlook for future fuels.

The 2022 State of the Nation event is the latest webinar to be run by AA Business Services and its biggest yet

Also spotlighting mobility and the evolving face of fleet as a result of the pandemic, the State of the Nation event is the latest webinar to be run by AA Business Services and takes place on Tuesday 15 February at 1pm.

Webinar host Dean Hedger, the AA’s EV new business development manager, will be joined by Gavin Franks, director of business services and Edmund King, president of the AA.

Special guests include Graeme Cooper, head of future markets at National Grid, Josh Rayner, partnerships manager at What3words, and Shevaun Haviland, director general at British Chambers of Commerce. Also speaking will be Sara Sloman, head of future mobility partnerships at Elmtronics, and Paul Kirby, head of LCV and EV strategy at Vanarama.

Speakers will cover the EV infrastructure, technology and apps, the impacts and challenges for vans and commercial vehicles as well as urban mobility, while the AA team will share some insight into learnings from 2021 and the opportunities UK businesses now face in relation to EVs and future fuels. The event will also cover future mobility and micromobility; operational technology and innovation; and the evolving needs of the customer.

Gavin Franks, director of business services at the AA, commented: “The world in which we live, and work, is evolving rapidly. We’ve all experienced great uncertainty and a diverse range of challenges due to the pandemic but, as is often the case, with adversity comes opportunity.
