A new electric vehicle car club said to be the first in the Thame & Haddenham area is launching next month.

The car club will feature two Hyundai Ioniq Electric hatchbacks, supplied by 3B Hire and accessed by Hiyacar’s car sharing technology and bespoke insurance

Developed to provide the local community with access to sustainable, affordable travel options, it will feature two EVs – Hyundai Ioniq Electric hatchbacks – supplied by 3B Hire in Premium trim and accessed by Hiyacar’s car sharing technology and bespoke insurance.

The cars will be fitted with Hiyacar’s QuickStart keyless car-access technology – meaning no in-person key handover is required – and they will also both be able to be booked on the spot.

Hiyacar CEO and co-founder Graeme Risby said: “Hiyacar is proud to be a part of, and excited for, the launch of this e-car club. Giving residents of Thame & Haddenham affordable access to EVs via the first car club in their area is a great success – and we’re excited to see how this car club grows.”

The scheme opens on 10 September and the cars will be located at Thame Barns Centre and Haddenham Village Hall.
