Ford Mustang Mach-E gains new driver assistance and comfort features

Ford has introduced enhanced driver assistance technologies, comfort and styling features for the Mach-E, providing extra reasons for drivers to go electric.

New features include Ford’s Intelligent Automated Cruise Control 2.0, as standard. This uses information from the navigation system and forward-facing camera to automatically adjust vehicle speed, not only according to speed limit signs but also to upcoming curves, turns and roundabouts.

Mustang Mach-E rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models equipped with the 91kWh extended-range battery now gain up to 1,500kg towing capacity – increased from 1,000kg and enabling drivers to tow larger trailers and caravans with ease.

Meanwhile, increased model range and personalisation options mean that the Premium specification – previously available only on all-wheel-drive models – is now offered for rear-wheel-drive versions with the 91kWh extended-range battery. This adds in standard 19-inch alloy wheels, Adaptive LED headlamps with Glare-Free Auto High Beam, eight-way powered driver and passenger seats, and red brake callipers with black exterior detailing.

New ‘Vapor Blue’ and ‘Carbonized Grey’ exterior colour options are also now available across the Mustang Mach-E line-up alongside two additional alloy wheel designs.

Ford has also published new research showing that around 80% of Mustang Mach-E customers to date have moved over to the brand from other carmakers.

It’s also revealed that the Mach-E, the first electric member of the Mustang family, has outsold the petrol-powered Mustang by eight-to-one in 2022 so far.

“Mustang Mach-E was developed from the ground up to deliver the character and performance of our iconic Mustang sports car. Now we’ve made the first SUV member of the Mustang family even more tempting for the ever-growing number of customers ready to embrace the electric revolution,” said Martin Sander, general manager, Ford Model e, Europe.
