Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell priced at £53,105 OTR

Its price includes part-funding from the HyFive project, a European consortium of stakeholders in the hydrogen industry, which includes Hyundai, aimed at deploying 110 fuel cell vehicles and five publically accessible refuelling stations across London by the end of 2015.

This reduces the price from £67,985, saving almost £15,000. The Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell produces electricity from a reaction between hydrogen and oxygen, with pure water vapour as its only tailpipe emission. It takes a few minutes to refuel, and offers a range of up to 369 miles to a tank of hydrogen – depending on the pressure of the gas.
