The all-new, mid-sized SUV has been uncovered just days after Chery International confirmed the UK arrival of the iCaur brand from early 2027, starting first with the flagship V27. The debut of the latest model marks a significant step in the brand’s worldwide development, but UK plans for the V25 have not yet been confirmed.
First teased earlier in the year, the V25 sits below the flagship V27 and above the smaller V23 that’s sold in China under the iCar brand. Internationally, the carmaker takes on the rebranded iCaur moniker to avoid brand confusion with Apple’s product ecosystem.
The V25 takes cues from its larger V27 brother as well as iconic 4×4 legends, with a silhouette seemingly inspired by the Land Rover Defender, but with a boxier look.
According to iCaur, the latest addition to its line-up embodies the brand’s ‘Born to Play’ philosophy while “advancing its distinctive design language, combining balanced proportions with circular headlights and a raised, purposeful stance”. Its Future-Classic design philosophy aims to merge the aesthetic appeal of retro automotive design with modern powertrains and a highly customisable ecosystem interface.
Powertrain details haven’t been officially disclosed yet but reports suggest the V25 is set up as a range extender featuring a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine developing 156hp and acting as an onboard generator to charge the 33.68kWh battery pack on the go.
Further details of the iCaur V25, including any plans for the UK, will be announced in “due course”. The brand has confirmed that its UK debut in early 2027 will be led by the flagship V27, the first iCaur model to reach British customers.
