Iveco has signed up Pod Point as its preferred EV charge point supplier, helping fleets go electric via a new referral programme.

The new referral partnership will help Iveco eDaily customers with the transition to electric vehicles

The new referral partnership will see Iveco eDaily customers – both large vehicle operators and SMEs – referred to Pod Point as a charging partner to support their business needs.

Customers will get discounted prices on Pod Point solutions, which offer AC charging from 7kW up to 22kW using either a Solo 3 or Twin charger, depending on customer requirements.

Retail customers can also benefit from Iveco’s offer of a free Solo 3 home charger and installation, supporting a complete EV ecosystem solution.

One of the UK’s leading EV charging providers, Pod Point offers everything from home to business charger installation, any necessary groundwork, maintenance and servicing of charging units are taken care of.

It also offers Array Charging, its load-balancing solution, which enables more chargers to be installed on a pre-existing supply.

Iveco UK light business-line director, Mike Cutts said: “Pod Point has been supplying reliable EV charging since 2009. This vast experience made it an obvious choice for our preferred supplier. Customers will benefit from this and the one-stop-shop solution Pod Point offers – making EV adoption even easier.”

Erik Fairbairn, Pod Point founder and CEO, added: “Electrifying the light commercial vehicle fleet is a powerful way to stop travel damaging the earth and the new eDaily will encourage both SMEs and large fleets to go electric. We’re excited to be working with Iveco as their preferred charge point supplier.”

The new partnership debuts as Iveco ramps up for the UK debut of the eDaily at the 2023 CV Show from 18-20 April.

Already available to order now, the all-electric eDaily is designed to deliver the same range of capabilities as its diesel sibling. It’s said to be the only vehicle in its class capable of towing 3.5 tonnes, while a choice of battery configurations via a modular battery layout allows operators to tailor an eDaily to their individual mission, balancing payload with range. Total range is up to 248 miles, depending on model, and the van’s 80kW rapid charging capacity allows the eDaily to gain 62 miles of range in around 30 minutes.
