Kia previews new XCeed compact crossover

Kia has teased its new XCeed compact crossover ahead of its reveal next week.

The updated XCeed will gain bolder new exterior looks, a revised interior, an all-new sporty GT-line trim level and a range of electrified powertrain options

The updated model will gain bolder new exterior looks, a revised interior, an all-new sporty GT-line trim level and a range of electrified powertrain options – helping to enhance its appeal in a highly competitive market that includes the Citroën C4 and Mazda CX-30.

First launched in 2019, the high-riding crossover joined the Ceed line-up alongside the hatch, estate and ProCeed models. It’s now the best-selling model within the family, popular for its SUV styling and practicality with hatchback driving dynamics.

The updated version will build on this, fusing “the adventurous design cues of a crossover with the sporty vibe of a focused European hatchback”, according to the brand.

Engine line-up will include mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid options, while the enhanced XCeed will also gain latest safety, connectivity and infotainment technologies.

The updated XCeed will be revealed at 08:00AM BST on Monday 18 July when more details will be revealed. European sales start later this year.
