Few details have been released, but the 2+2 coupe concept will use the Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive system, claimed to offer high performance and high fuel economy.

Designed by Lexus’s Calty design studio in Newport Beach, California, the company said it previews a more emotive design language for its future vehicles.

Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager, explained: ‘Crafted from a clean sheet of paper at the request of Lexus headquarters in Japan, the LF-LC blends both high technology and organic shapes to connect the driver to the machine. The clean lines of the vehicle emphasize motion, creating a distinctive look for this futuristic sport coupe.”

The LF-LC will be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on the 9th January 2012.
