Charge point operator Liberty Charge has appointed three new directors to drive its plans for public electric vehicle charging.

L-R: Matt Croucher, Perran Moon and Amanda Pun

Matt Croucher and Amanda Pun join in the newly created roles of EV services director and legal director respectively, while Perran Moon becomes chief marketing officer.

Matt Croucher brings extensive experience in planning, including as the Zero emission mobility lead at WSP. His experience in the EV sector stretches back to the industry’s early years in 2009, across a wide range of projects within the public and private sectors. In his new role, he will focus primarily on growing the UK’s charging infrastructure by collaboration with local authorities, working closely with all stakeholders to understand their needs and the best solutions.

Amanda Pun has 12 years’ plus experience in deploying telecommunications networks and has now made the switch to EV charging networks.

Perran Moon’s background delivers more than 25 years’ experience in the automotive industry, including seven years as group marketing director at Manheim UK.

He acknowledged that local authorities face significant challenges in facilitating the pace that is required in the EV infrastructure roll out: “Clear communication, in addition to an offering that removes all hassle associated with the funding, logistics and maintenance of EV charge points, will be vital in supporting local authorities to provide infrastructure that works for residents and local authorities, and not against them.”

The new arrivals will support Liberty Charge’s work to pave the way for a zero-carbon future by providing all aspects of the necessary infrastructure, installation and ongoing service needed to create sustainable, publicly accessible EV charge points that are reliable, safe and easy for everyone to use.

Neil Isaacson, Liberty Charge CEO, commented: “These appointments show that we are absolutely committed to investing in the right experience, talent and genuine dedication to get more charge points in the ground – essential to inspiring EV adoption.”
