MG has teamed up with Rolec EV to provide streamlined charging solutions for its customers of its first-ever electric vehicle.

MG’s first 1,000 electric car customers will benefit from a fully funded Rolec HomeSmart EV installation

On sale now, the MG ZS electric vehicle (see first drive here) forms a key part of the brand’s plans to grow its fleet presence and the partnership with Rolec EV will aid customers making the switch to electric.

MG’s first 1,000 electric car customers will benefit from a fully funded Rolec HomeSmart EV while subsequent customers will have the option of the Rolec HomeSmart EV installation at a reduced price.

The two firms have also been working in the run-up to the ZS launch; Rolec has supplied EV charging solutions for customer parking areas, demonstrator areas, workshops and handover bays across various MG locations in the UK.

The addition of home charging solutions will see the companies support customers with the full charging solution; from viewing the vehicle at the showroom to parking and charging at home.

Frankie Mellon, EV sales manager at Rolec Services, said: “It is apparent that the electric vehicle market is growing at speed and the recent launch of MG’s ZS has sparked great intrigue and interest amongst a vast range of audiences. It goes without saying that we at Rolec are delighted to have magnified our partnership with MG whilst enabling their electric vehicle customers with EV charging excellence from start to finish. In an era where electric vehicles are gaining traction day by day, Rolec look forward to being key drivers in the EV revolution.”
