Myenergi turns attention to Germany and Europe

UK renewable energy tech firm Myenergi is stepping up its commitment in Germany, responding to expected massive growth in the EV and home energy management systems (HEMS) sectors.

Philippe Hausser has joined the new subsidiary as managing director while Sweeta Sediqi becomes sales director

The company, founded in 2016, was recently named one of the 10 fastest-growing private companies in the UK. But it’s also proving a success story in Germany, where it launched in 2019 with its solar-compatible EV charger Zappi.

Since then, Germany has become the company’s most successful export market and it’s has now opened a new subsidiary there, targeting German-speaking markets.

Based in Munich, and with a second office in Cologne, it’s headed by Philippe Hausser as managing director. Hausser gained experience in companies such as BMW and held numerous senior positions in international sales and business development at companies such as Kühne + Nagel, Mærsk Group and GOVECS.

Meanwhile, Sweeta Sediqi – who has been a key representative of Myenergi in Germany, with strong relationships with electrical wholesalers – will continue to lead the business activities from Cologne as sales director, managing the operational business and working alongside Philippe Hausser.

Alongside the Zappi, the firm’s product line-up includes a solar diverter (Eddi) and a recently launched smart domestic storage battery (Libbi). As a wholly owned subsidiary rather than simply a distribution agent, the new company will take over responsibility for warranties and customer service for any existing customers who already own Myenergi products in Germany.

In addition to German-speaking countries, the company will also continue to expand its presence in European growth markets.

Lee Sutton, CEO of Myenergi UK, commented: “We have already seen strong demand for our market-leading products in Europe and expect that to continue. Philippe brings a proven track record of increasing sales and profitability in high-growth markets, as well as extensive knowledge in the automotive, electric mobility and renewable energy sectors. Sweeta brings established and extensive relationships in our core market and is extremely well connected within the electrical wholesale sector.”
