National Trust selects Rolec EV as charging point supplier

Charging infrastructure specialist Rolec EV has been chosen as the official EV charge point supplier, manufacturer and installer of the National Trust – one of the UK’s largest membership organisations.

A range of Rolec EV charging solutions will be installed for use by National Trust members and employees.

As a result Rolec’s range of EV charging points will now be installed across UK sites owned by the conservation organisation.

Installations will include Rolec AutoCharge: EV Pedestals, offered for use to the Trust’s millions of visitors each year, in addition to sites being providing with Rolec WallPod: EV CommercialCharge, SmartCharge and SecuiCharge: EV Wall Units – for potential use by nearly 6,000 members of staff.

Rolec is also installing its WallPod EV: HomeCharge units at the National Trust’s Holiday Cottage sites, which number over 400 throughout the UK.

The National Trust, a charity which owns hundreds of popular locations throughout the UK, has stated that it is aiming to help mitigate climate change by cutting its overall energy usage by 20% by 2020 – and source 50% of that from renewable sources on their land.
