Charging infrastructure specialist Rolec EV has been chosen as the official EV charge point supplier, manufacturer and installer of the National Trust – one of the UK’s largest membership organisations.
A range of Rolec EV charging solutions will be installed for use by National Trust members and employees.
As a result Rolec’s range of EV charging points will now be installed across UK sites owned by the conservation organisation.
Installations will include Rolec AutoCharge: EV Pedestals, offered for use to the Trust’s millions of visitors each year, in addition to sites being providing with Rolec WallPod: EV CommercialCharge, SmartCharge and SecuiCharge: EV Wall Units – for potential use by nearly 6,000 members of staff.
Rolec is also installing its WallPod EV: HomeCharge units at the National Trust’s Holiday Cottage sites, which number over 400 throughout the UK.
The National Trust, a charity which owns hundreds of popular locations throughout the UK, has stated that it is aiming to help mitigate climate change by cutting its overall energy usage by 20% by 2020 – and source 50% of that from renewable sources on their land.
