Nissan LEAF breaks new ground in Mexico
Sales will initially be focused on Mexico City, the world’s 20th largest city, which is soon to have a network of charging zones in eight of its regions.
Working with the Government of the State of Morelos, Nissan will also help install rapid charging points between Mexico City and Cuernavaca to enable longer-distance travel.
Airton Cousseau, CEO of Nissan Mexicana, said: ‘We are proud to be the pioneer company to introduce the first zero-emissions vehicle leader in sales worldwide in Mexico. This release represents an honour for us and recognizes a milestone in the history of innovation in Nissan, a cornerstone of our business strategy.’
