Nissan is a Motability Premier Partner, and each of its 200 plus dealerships feature at least two trained sales and aftersales specialists to work with the scheme, which provides people receiving the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance or War Pensioner’s Mobility Supplement to lease a vehicle.

The LEAF is available in three trim levels, with the entry-level Visia available for an AP of £999, or the Acenta and Tekna at £1,299 and £1,999 respectively. Customers can also have a home charging point installed by British Gas, at no cost.

Jon Pollock, Nissan GB sales director said: ‘We’re proud that the Nissan LEAF has delivered another first ahead of its rivals to become the first 100% electric car on the Motability Scheme. With a starting Advance Payment of just £999 and Motability Scheme specialists at each of our dealerships, getting behind the wheel of an electric vehicle and enjoying low running costs has never been easier.’
