Via the new EZ-ChargeSM card, owners of the LEAF electric vehicle will be able to access charging points from Aerovironment, Blink Network, Chargepoint and NERG eVgo via a single membership, and pay nothing to plug in for two years.

The card launches from the 1st July, but will be backdated to customers who bought a LEAF from the 1st April onwards. From 15 launch markets, Nissan will extend the “No Charge to Charge” promotion to another ten markets by the end of the year – said to account for 80% of LEAF sales in the United States.

Brendan Jones, director, Nissan EV Infrastructure and Strategy, commented: ‘Nissan's commitment to mass-market electric cars is matched by our commitment to increase charging infrastructure for LEAF owners. EZ-Charge is a natural progression of our multi-pronged commitment to developing EV charging at workplace campuses, at Nissan LEAF dealerships and in the communities where LEAF drivers live and work.’
