Onto expands EV subscription fleet with 600 new Peugeots
Electric car subscription service Onto is adding a further 600 fully electric Peugeot cars to its fleet in response to the brand’s popularity with its customers.
The order is split evenly between the e-208 supermini and e-2008 crossover; a total of 300 e-208 Allure Premium vehicles are now available for delivery while 300 e-2008 GT models will join the fleet from July.
Rob Jolly, CEO and co-founder at Onto, commented: “These new cars will ensure we can keep up with the growing demand as our customer base expands and more people make the switch to electric.”
Onto added its first fully electric vehicles from Peugeot in 2018 and said they’re regularly fully booked. The e-208 is powered by a 50kWh battery and has an official 225-mile WLTP range while the larger e-2008 offers a range of up to 214 miles. Both can be charged in 7.5 hours using a 7kW wallbox, while 100kW rapid charging can give an 80% charge from around 30 minutes.
Julie David, managing director of Peugeot UK, said: “We’re delighted to be continuing the relationship between Peugeot and Onto with this supply of 600 new, fully electric vehicles. It’s fantastic to hear that their customers have been so positive about the Peugeot e-208 and e-2008 so far – we look forward to continuing our work with Onto and helping their customers experience the latest range of electric vehicles from Peugeot.”
Onto was founded in 2017 with the goal of accelerating EV adoption in the UK; it currently has more than 6,000 active subscribers and offers a wide selection of electric vehicles.
