Peugeot Announces Two New HYbrid4 508 Models

By / 13 years ago / International News / No Comments

The 508 RXH joins the Peugeot range next year as a halo model for the D Segment car. Raised by 50mm over the 508 SW on which it is based, it features body cladding as a sign of the off-road potential offered by the HYbrid4 powertrain, which has a 2.0-litre 163bhp diesel engine at the front and 37bhp electric motor at the rear.

At launch, the range will include a limited edition version of 300 examples, of which 30 are coming to the UK. Priced at £36,000 it will boast a high level of equipment including colour-matched dashboard inserts and alcantara interior fabric, as well as bespoke alloy wheels.

The second Peugeot to feature the PSA HYbrid4 powertrain, after the 3008, it will be joined later in the year by a saloon version. This will look similar to the rest of the 508 saloon models, with conventional ride height and no cladding, and Peugeot claims CO2 emissions of 95g/km. Prices have yet to be announced.
