Fleet World Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Harris as editor of Fleet World and EV Fleet World, effective 5 January 2026.

Simon brings 28 years of experience in automotive writing, editing and vehicle market analysis, with specialist expertise in residual value forecasting and product appraisal. His career has spanned consumer and B2B publishing, data and insight roles, and consultancy across the fleet, leasing and wider automotive sectors.

A familiar name within the industry, Simon has contributed extensively to leading B2B automotive titles throughout his career and, since 2023, has served as chair of the Guild of Motoring Writers, the world’s largest association for automotive editorial professionals. His role with the Guild reflects his standing within the profession and his long-running commitment to supporting high standards in automotive journalism.

Simon’s background includes the development of RV forecasting methodologies, comparative vehicle analysis and in-depth coverage of market trends affecting fleet decision-makers. This unique blend of editorial experience and technical insight places him in a strong position to lead the Fleet World Group brands into their next phase of growth.

Commenting on his appointment, Simon said: “Fleet World and EV Fleet World are among the most trusted voices in B2B automotive publishing. I’m excited to be taking on the role of editor at a time when electrification, evolving mobility models and new entrants are reshaping the fleet landscape. Simon will be working alongside Natalie Middleton, business editor, and John Kendall, editor of Van Fleet World.

In addition to his editorial leadership, Simon will remain available for selected external projects, including writing, editing and consultancy in product positioning and residual value strategy.
