The company said the solution is aimed at small businesses looking for discreet stylish charging solutions where aesthetics are important or where installation in conservation areas limits their charge point choices.

Andersen is also targeting small country hotels which require charge solutions which blend seamlessly with historic country architecture.

The A1 tethered 7kW charge points – which are eligible for the OLEV Workplace Charging grants – were designed in callaboration with Paul Crofts Studio and bring a Scandinavian, minimalist design and compact dimensions of 490 x 345 x 120 mm. The charge points are made of aluminium, stainless steel and sustainably sourced Accoya wood materials and can be configured from a range of eight colour shades.

Charge points can be ordered directly through the company’s website and Andersen is also in discussions with car manufacturers to sell the product as an alternative charge point.
