Tesla Model 3 scores highest-ever Euro NCAP Safety Assist score

The Tesla Model 3, Škoda Scala and Mercedes-Benz B-Class and latest GLE have earned five-star ratings in the latest batch of Euro NCAP ratings, with Tesla putting in a particularly strong performance.

The Model 3’s 94% Euro NCAP Safety Assist score is the highest yet

The results saw Euro NCAP praise the Model 3’s “perfect score” in the front offset deformable barrier crash test while its 94% rating in the Safety Assist tests is the best yet under Euro NCAP’s most recent protocol and has been credited to the Model 3’s “superb” driver assistance systems, such as  lane support, speed assist and autonomous emergency braking.

The Tesla also scored a figure of 94% for adult occupant protection, 86% for child occupant and 74% for vulnerable road users.

In a blog post,Tesla said: “Model 3 is our most affordable car yet, and safety is something that is paramount to all drivers. That’s why we engineered Model 3 from the ground up with the strongest structure, best occupant restraint system and the most advanced safety features that we could imagine, with a goal of getting as many of them on the road as possible. As Model 3 continues to earn the highest safety ratings around the globe, we hope that it translates into one very important point for our customers – peace of mind knowing that their car is helping them drive safely.”
