University of Dundee extends its EV fleet

These latest additions were enabled by a £70,000 funding package from Tranport Scotland, and bring the university fleet to seven electric vans, one electric car and a hybrid flatbed truck. The bikes were funded by a grant from TACTRAN and are available to students as well as staff.

Trudy Cunningham, environment and sustainability officer at the university, said: “Ultimately we want to be a zero-emission university and these vehicles are another step in that direction. Not only do we want our transport choices to be as green as possible, we want to help staff and students to make those choices as well.”
