Volvo EX90 electric SUV gains cheaper single-motor version

Volvo has debuted a new, cheaper version of its flagship EX90 electric SUV.

Accompanied by the new Plus trim, the single-motor, rear-wheel-drive model cuts entry pricing to £82,660

The new single-motor, rear-wheel-drive model joins the existing all-wheel drive versions and cuts entry pricing to £82,660.

The new powertrain features a 279hp motor with 490Nm of torque, enabling 0-62mph in 8.4 seconds. It’s fed by a 104kWh (nominal) capacity battery with electric consumption of up to 3.4mpkWh and with a WTLP range of up to 380 miles on a full charge.

The powertrain is accompanied by a new Plus trim level that comes with four-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, head-up display, 14.5-inch touchscreen control system and a 360-degree camera set-up all provided as standard.

The new Plus trim also debuts on the Twin Motor versions, bringing pricing down to £89,560 and £99,960. These variants also come with air suspension and adaptive dampers.
