Walmart launches EV charging in Mexico City
Working with the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), BMW Group Mexico and Schneider Electric, the units will be located at Walmart’s stores in Interlomas, Perisur, Taxqueña and Toreo and compatible with most electric vehicles sold in the country.
BMW, which launched its i sub-brand in Mexico last September, has donated the Schneider EVLink units to the project, and CFE will offset the electricity used for charging with 100% renewably-sourced energy from nearby wind farms.
