Toyota has slashed lead-in pricing for its bZ4X electric SUV, helping more drivers to go electric.

On-the-road pricing for the entry-level Pure grade model now stands at £36,995, bringing it below the £37,000 ceiling for the Electric Car Grant and potentially enabling the model to qualify for the Government’s discount.
The front-wheel-drive bZ4X Pure is equipped as standard with 18-inch alloy wheels and wheel caps, the Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system with eight-inch display, seven-inch digital driver’s display, reversing camera, smart entry and start, plus climate control system with energy-saving heat pump.
Toyota has further cut prices for the bZ4X, along with other electrified models, with its Toyota Electrified Saving summer package.
Available on selected self-charging hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric models, the summer savings package includes a £3,750 saving off the bZ4X battery electric, equivalent to the top band of the Government’s Electric Car Grant.
Toyota Electric Savings also include £1,500 off the C-HR hybrid/PHEV, RAV4 and Prius plug-in hybrids and the Corolla Hatchback, Touring Sports and Commercial hybrids. Finally, there’s a £1,000 saving on the Yaris and Yaris Cross hybrid.
The programme is available to retail customers until 30 September, and with finance arrangements completed by 15 December this year.
