MSL Property Care Services electrifies fleet with help of Ogilvie

One of the UK’s leading property maintenance specialists is continuing its transition to a fully electric car fleet with the help of Ogilvie.

MSL’s remaining fleet will be replaced with electric models in the coming months, ahead of target

Halifax-based MSL Property Care Services recently rolled out its latest batch of electric vehicles, which now make up 80% of its fleet.

MSL’s remaining fleet will be replaced with electric models in the coming months, ahead of target, aligning with its ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.

Its EV line-up now includes Polestar 4, BMW i4 and Škoda Enyaq models, alongside existing Kia EV6, Tesla Model 3 and Volkswagen ID.4 cars already on the fleet. As well as cutting emissions, the EV line-up benefits drivers with significant tax efficiency through lower Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) tax, compared to their internal combustion equivalents.
Earlier this year, Ogilvie also delivered a fleet of new Nissan commercial vehicles for MSL alongside a salary sacrifice scheme that is already helping drivers make the switch to electric.

Fabien Caqueret, managing director at MSL Property Care Services, said: “Our partnership with Ogilvie and our decision to switch to electric vehicles has been a great step forward for the business, it really is a win-win situation. It has allowed us to achieve significant savings through whole-life cost efficiencies, whilst the drivers benefit from lower BiK and the latest in automotive technology.”

Adrian Horton, Ogilvie Fleet corporate account manager, said: “We are delighted to support MSL with their transition to electric vehicles, as we continue to do so with hundreds of organisations around the country. This has been the first electric vehicle for many of their drivers, so we have worked with them to provide myth-busting education on how easy driving an EV can be. MSL is a fantastic business that looks to support both its staff and the environment, with the added benefit of making operational cost efficiencies.”
