Norwegian charging specialist Easee has hired Steven Frost in the newly created role of head of automotive to drive fleet electrification.

Frost will lead the development and expansion of Easee’s dedicated fleet and automotive offering, supporting customers ranging from SMEs to national enterprise fleets, as well as automotive partners.

As head of automotive, Frost will ensure the company delivers simple, cost-effective and intelligent EV charging solutions across home, workplace and depot environments – designed to scale alongside the evolving needs of commercial operators and vehicle providers.

The strategic appointment comes as businesses across Europe face increasing pressure to electrify while maintaining operational efficiency and controlling costs.

Easee said its approach, which is “rooted in scalable infrastructure, smart energy management and ease of deployment”, ensures the company is ideally positioned to be a critical enabler in this transition.

Frost brings more than 20 years of automotive industry experience, with a strong track record in driving revenue growth, expanding solution portfolios and delivering customer-focused innovation. His expertise spans both traditional automotive, software and emerging electrification ecosystems, positioning him to lead Easee’s fleet and automotive strategy during a period of rapid market evolution.

Frost said fleet electrification represents a significant opportunity, but also introduces new operational complexity, “particularly as organisations are often making or changing processes as well as learning along the way, as they change their traditional vehicles to electric”.

He added: “My focus will be on building solutions that work simply and seamlessly for business fleet operators of every shape, size to deliver a great experience for drivers, enabling reliable home charging and providing efficient, cost-controlled infrastructure across the wider estate. It’s about giving businesses the confidence to electrify quickly and practically, without compromising the bottom line.”

Easee’s technology is already designed to support high-demand environments such as fleet depots, with scalable, load-balanced charging that optimises power usage and reduces infrastructure constraints. Combined with its growing network of connected chargers, the company is enabling smarter energy usage and supporting broader grid resilience to facilitate increasing demand for electrified vehicles moving forward.
