Moto Hospitality has launched a new ultra-rapid charging hub at its Tamworth motorway services, delivering a major boost for UK businesses going electric.

Offering up to 360kW ultra-rapid charging speeds, accessible bays and multiple payment options, the site features 24 bays for passenger cars and a further eight bays specifically dedicated to eHGVs.

Aiming to eradicate the barriers to commercial fleet decarbonisation, the hub significantly expands public charging capacity across the West Midlands, delivering a best-in-class experience for UK motorists and accelerating the transition to reliable and accessible infrastructure.

The launch marks a pivotal milestone in Moto’s £500m investment programme, with capital actively being deployed to upgrade facilities, quadruple EV charging bays at its motorway services and accelerate the rollout of eHGV infrastructure nationwide.

While breaking new ground for heavy commercial transport, the Tamworth super hub is equally designed to eliminate charging anxiety and transform the journey for everyday EV drivers.

To ensure high uptime and continuous power reliability, Moto collaborated with industry specialists Gridserve, Actemium and Last Mile to design and energise the complex high-voltage infrastructure.

Building on the success of Gridserve’s government-backed Electric Freightway programme, which recently saw Actemium successfully deliver the UK’s first public eHGV charging hub at Moto Exeter, the organisations have partnered once again to deploy the high-capacity infrastructure at Tamworth.
