Bracknell Forest deploys second electric vehicle

The council’s second electric vehicle, the van will be used by its couriers, who have a typical daily round of between 65 and 70 miles – well within the e-NV200’s range.

Charging points have been installed at the council’s Time Square and Commercial Square buildings, and work is underway to examine whether further electric vehicles can be used on the fleet.

Cllr Mrs Dorothy Hayes, executive member for the environment, said: “This is a fantastic scheme, not only is it saving costs but it is also environmentally friendly, which shows our commitment to the environment and helps us to reduce our carbon footprint.”
