Designed to challenge the B-segment with a starting price of just £19,995, the Tiggo 4 delivers a new and cheaper rival to models ranging from the Dacia Duster to the Volkswagen T-Cross.
Positioned as the new entry point to the Tiggo family, the Tiggo 4 is the fourth Chery model to land in the UK since the Chinese brand’s launch last summer, following the larger Tiggo 7, Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 9 SUVs. It’s marked out as the first full-hybrid model in the Tiggo line-up and expected to appeal to drivers due to its keen pricing, plus its compact footprint and high levels of versatility.
Despite its compact 4.3m length, the Tiggo 4 CSH offers a commanding SUV seating position and a massive 1,155-litre boot capacity with the seats folded.
It’s powered by the fifth-generation Chery Super Hybrid system. This pairs a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 1.83kWh battery and a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) for a punchy 204hp and 310Nm of torque.
Chery is launching the model with two “clearly defined” trim levels.
The entry-level Aspire model comes with fabric upholstery, heated wing mirrors, electric windows and a rear-view parking camera, alongside a fully connected digital interface.
Summit – priced from £21,995 – upgrades the experience with eco-leather upholstery, a 360-degree camera system, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat and privacy glass.
Both models come with dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while Summit models also benefit from cooled wireless phone charging. The “Hello Chery” intelligent voice assistant responds to natural voice commands to control key vehicle functions, and keyless entry with remote start is included as standard.
Every model features seven airbags and a comprehensive ADAS suite, including adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, lane departure warning and rear collision warning.
Farrell Hsu, UK country director, said: “The Chery Tiggo 4 CSH is an important car for us in the UK, offering everything we believe a modern SUV should offer in a compact, smart package. It’s the car that makes hybrid ownership even more accessible, with a winning combination of technology, real-world efficiency and a specification that delivers real everyday value.”
The Tiggo 4 CSH is backed by Chery’s seven-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty, with the hybrid battery covered for eight years/100,000 miles.
The Tiggo 4 CSH can be pre-ordered now, with customer deliveries expected in summer 2026.
