The brand, which is backed by Changan along with battery firm CATL and tech specialist Huawei, will launch first with the 06T estate and 07L SUV, starting in Norway and Spain with local sales, service and partner networks.

Over the next three years, six models will be launched in Europe spanning mid-size SUVs, large SUVs and shooting brake body styles, along with full BEV and range-extender powertrains.

Established in 2018 with the brand mission of ‘Creating the Beauty of Future Mobility through Original Design and Intelligent Technology’, Avatr is committed to becoming a leading global brand in new luxury smart electric vehicles.

The company combines Changan Automobile’s vehicle manufacturing capabilities, CATL’s battery technology and digital computing software from Huawei.

It’s supported by a diverse global team spanning different continents. The brand’s Global Design Centre in Munich works closely with its Shanghai-based design centre, “blending Chinese innovation and European design” while bringing together designers and engineers from more than 30 countries.

To date, the brand has established a presence in 70 countries and regions, with more than 280,000 vehicle owners worldwide. By 2030, Avatr aims to expand to 110 countries and regions, with overseas sales accounting for more than 50% of total sales.

Avatr says the brand stands for “exceptional design, advanced intelligence and outstanding value”. It also says it’s “committed to original, forward-thinking design and developing industry-leading intelligent technologies to deliver a premium driving experience throughout the vehicle’s entire lifecycle”.

The Avatr 06T and 07L will be among the first models to enter the European market, embodying the ‘Emotive Luxury’ brand promise and “shaping the aesthetic of future mobility through authentic design and emotional intelligent technology”.

The 06T is a high-performance electric shooting brake estate already offered in other markets as a fully electric car or as a range-extender hybrid and designed to rival the Denza Z9 GT.

The 07L is a premium, mid-size electric luxury SUV built to compete directly with models such as the Tesla Model Y and BMW iX3.

At Paris, Avatr also showcased its Vision Xpectra concept car, which was created at the Global Design Center in Munich, along with the T09 concept, which previews a future flagship SUV with over 1,000hp of power.

Avatr says it will base its European service infrastructure on four key principles: exceptional responsiveness, transparency & efficiency, premium professionalism, and end-to-end customer care. The company will build a localised service network in partnership with local dealers and service partners.

A European spare‑parts logistics system will support repairs, roadside assistance, battery inspection and recycling, delivering full‑lifecycle service support for European customers.
