Free Fiat Professional tool to show if van fleets can go electric

A new tool that tells fleets if they can deploy the e-Ducato electric van and sets out the annual savings is now available from Fiat Professional.

Based on tracking data from a firm’s own fleet, Pro Fit by e-Ducato tells customers how much they could save on their fleet if they were to go electric with e-Ducato

The ‘Pro Fit by e-Ducato’ tool uses tracking data from a firm’s own fleet to compare their current fleet of commercial vehicles with the performance and running costs of the all-electric e-Ducato range.

The free tool works for all size fleets, from a one-van business to a multinational giant. At a basic level, fleets can build a simulation by entering details of their current ICE-engined fleet into the web tool, indicating the type of vehicle they use and selecting the usage for each one.

The results provide insight into whether the e-Ducato range is sufficient, the extent of annual savings, whether the charging slots indicated are consistent with each vehicle’s mission, and more.

To generate more accurate, real-world data, businesses can use driver data from the dedicated ‘Pro Fit by E-Ducato’ app, available free of charge from the App Store and Google Play. Once configured and activated by drivers in each vehicle, the app sends mission data to the web tool. Pro Fit processes the real-world data and provides a list of the electric solutions recommended, with estimates of financial savings.

The arrival of the tool follows this spring’s launch of the fully electric e-Ducato, which offers a host of configurations, trim levels and battery options, and brings a payload of up to 1,950kg.

Richard Chamberlain, Fiat Professional UK country manager, said: “Crucially, this tool allows businesses to be reassured of their decision to move electric before even stepping behind the wheel of the E-Ducato. With hundreds of configurations and two battery options, there’s an e-Ducato to suit any business and Pro Fit will be able to show businesses this in real time.”
