The Geely EX2 – China’s bestselling EV in 2025 – is heading to the UK this summer with prices starting from under £21,000.
The new arrival expands Geely’s line-up into the all-electric hatchback segment, taking on the likes of the Renault 5 and Twingo, Fiat Grande Panda and Citroën ë-C3 by offering affordable electric mobility and up to 214 miles of range.
Built on Geely’s Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture (GEA) platform, it sits under the Chinese marque’s existing EX5 medium-sized electric SUV and the larger Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV.
Geely says its latest addition offers a compelling combination of intelligent technology, practical design and impressive features supporting safety.
The EX2 line-up is streamlined into three trim levels – Pro, Max and Ultra – providing customers with a simple and transparent range structure while ensuring high levels of equipment throughout the line-up.
The entry-level EX2 Pro is powered by a 35kWh battery paired with an 82hp electric motor, delivering a range of up to 155 miles.
The Max and Ultra models swap this set-up for a larger 47kWh battery and a 116hp electric motor, offering up to 214 miles of range. All models are rear-wheel-driven and come with DC rapid charging up to 80kW, a 6.6kW onboard charger plus vehicle-to-load capability.
All models come with seven airbags and a package of advanced driver-assistance technologies that include adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert and driver monitoring system.
The entry-level Pro, priced at £20,990 OTR, is kitted out with synthetic leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen display, an 8.8-inch driver display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and keyless entry and start.
Stepping up to the Max, priced at £23,490 OTR, brings the larger 47kWh battery pack and more powerful motor.
The range-topping Ultra, priced at £25,490 OTR, adds two-tone exterior paint, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera system with transparent chassis view, wireless phone charging, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, power tailgate, upgraded six-speaker audio system and direct tyre pressure monitoring. Customers can also specify an optional white interior at additional cost of £200.
Michael Yang, general manager at Geely Auto UK, said: “The Geely EX2 represents an important step in our mission to make intelligent electric mobility accessible to more customers across the UK. By combining a practical electric platform, advanced technologies to support safety, sophisticated connectivity and attractive pricing, we believe the Geely EX2 delivers a compelling proposition in one of the UK’s most important vehicle segments.”
