Hyundai’s Ioniq 6 N super-saloon is now available to order, priced from £65,800 and with up to 650hp of power.
The high-performance ‘N’ variant of the Ioniq 6 ‘streamliner’ saloon, the newcomer is a bigger brother to the Ioniq 5 N and is “engineered for peak driving thrills” while also “offering a unique personality that sets it apart” from its mechanically similar hatchback sibling. It’s also a new rival to the Tesla Model 3 Performance.
The twin-motor setup delivers 650hp and 770Nm of torque, accelerating from 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds (with N Launch Control), reaching a top speed of 160mph. It’s also equipped with electrically adjustable dampers and an electronic limited-slip differential.
The 84kWh battery is good for an official WLTP range of up to 302 miles and capable of ultra-rapid charging of up to 350kW.
The super-saloon also gets its hatchback sibling’s N e-Shift virtual gear shift system, complete with shorter gear ratios, and an enhanced version of the N Active Sound+ sound simulation system.
Fully customisable N drive functions are carried across from Ioniq 5 N, enabling drivers to fine tune settings, with dedicated steering wheel buttons for rapid mode selection.
Styling draws on the newly designed Ioniq 6 and Ioniq 6 N Line – coming to the UK in spring 2026 – and adds five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels, high-performance rear wing and widened front and rear fenders.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in Alcantara suede and leather, N-exclusive metal pedals, along with N logo welcome lighting on the front seats and the latest Hyundai CCNC (Connected Car Navigation Cockpit) infotainment system.
The Ioniq 6 N will be available as a single specification in the UK, with prices starting from £65,800. The only options are a tilt and slide panoramic roof (£1,250) and six exterior body colours.
Ashley Andrew, president of Hyundai & Genesis UK, said: “The Ioniq 5 N revolutionised the world of performance cars, proving that an electric car could still raise the pulse of a driving enthusiast. Ioniq 6 N delivers even more to the enthusiast driver; all the benefits of the 5 N’s high-performance E-GMP base, a suspension set-up that produces both a different character, all encapsulated in the aerodynamic Ioniq 6’s electrified streamliner shape.”
